Player Information:
John Parris is a football player from the island nation of Barbados. At the age of 34, he is nearing the end of a distinguished career as a midfielder for one team, the Notre Dame Bayville squad. His athleticism is attested to by the fact that from his first year as a Barbados Football Association professional, he was invited on to the Barbados National Football Team, the Bajan Pride. In fact, even before joining the Bayville squad, he was sought out in amateur leagues for one year of participation on the Pride team. In international play, Parris has earned 101 caps, making him one of the top three national leaders in the category. He has taken only two yellow cards during his international career, and has no goals.
Though statistics on Barbados football are scarce, Parris was definitely active in league play during his youth, and it was only in the year 2000 that his name occurs in the published National Team records. Since that was in the year when he reached the age of 25, at most, Parris was certainly one of the stars of the semi-professional and amateur teams around the island nation. In 2001, he joined the Notre Dame Bayville, representing a suburb south of downtown Bridgetown, the capital city of Barbados.
